Thank you SO much for checking out Brey! I'm so excited you're here!
A little about me: My name is Brittany and I live in Sioux Falls, SD but am originally from Minnesota (Go Vikes!). I am married to my wonderful, supportive, God fearing husband, Rainey. We have been married about 2 years now and Brey is our only baby ;) And although we don't have kids, we have the sweetest niece and nephews and love them like they are our own!
I've been a dental hygienist (where my flossers at?!) for the past 8 years and love it. However, owning a woman's clothing boutique has been a dream of mine for a very long time and I'm ecstatic it's finally come true!
Brey currently carries tops, bottoms, dresses, and outerwear. I really pride myself on being a smart spender. I'm a coupon clipper, rewards points user, bargain shopper...you get the point. And let me tell you - my financial advisor husband loves that about me! ;) Don't get me wrong, a good splurge is needed every now and then...but with all that being said, I hate spending a lot of money on "stuff". So, I really strive to have super affordable items in my boutique. Quality and affordability are both really important to me, so I try my best to find items that are of good value for a good price!
I also find myself catering a little bit to the taller girls when looking for clothes. I'm 5'11" and my husband is 6'8"! :| I know what you're thinking....their kids are going to be giants. Yes, yes, we have accepted this and are just hoping it puts one of them through college on a sports scholarship- lol. Anyway, I do tend to gravitate toward the longer dresses, jeans, and tops, as I have always had an issue with clothes being too short on me. That being said, I do have a variety of models so you can see the fit of each item on different body types! :)
If you're still reading at this point, thank you (I can be long winded at times, ha) and if you're interested, I'll share a little bit more about why I started Brey!
Not only do I love clothes, but I love people. I feel like I've always been pretty outgoing. One of my favorite parts about dental hygiene is the patients! I really value relationships with people and feel like interacting with people in some way or another, is part of what I am called to do! One of my not so favorite parts, is the way dental hygiene makes my body feel. Believe it or not, it's very hard on your back, neck, and body in general. I started having back issues just shortly after graduating college and quickly realized that dental hygiene may not be a long term career for me. My husband and I discussed some options, including going back to college or starting a boutique. College seemed like the more obvious, less risky choice. But, YOLO. Lol. Do the kids still say that? No, but really...you do only live once and I knew if I didn't take the leap of faith and start Brey now, I never would. SO after many months of praying, planning, researching, and some more praying...voila! Here we are! :)
Matthew 5:14-16 NIV says: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." This is something I strive for and struggle with on a day to day basis. But starting Brey is a way for me to reach out to people to show beauty and light. Not only with the clothes I carry, but hopefully on a more personal relationship level. I think that everyone can 'be the light' for someone else and that can make this world a really beautiful place! :)
So thank you, thank you, thank you for stopping by and I hope you find something you absolutely love!
Please feel free to email or message me on any social media with any questions you have or just to say hey! I love meeting people and would love to get to know you too!
